One of These Things Is Not Like the Others
Seen today, all on one vehicle:
1. A parking permit for the
Department of Veterans Affairs.
2. A bumper sticker supporting the
University of California at Berkeley.
3. A license plate frame reading
"Who is John Galt?"
Denied!
Well, it's been a long time, hasn't it, dear readers? I've got two drafts sitting around, neither one of which really interest me enough to publish, but the fact is that they're dated May 5 and 6, respectively. So when I've checked in on my blog, thinking that I ought to post *something*, I've been mistakenly thinking it had been less than a month. I am, of course, wrong.
Well then: Berkeley rejected my application to their part-time MBA program. I'm disappointed, but not crushed. I'm now putting together an application to UC Davis instead. They're starting a Bay Area program this fall, and I think the program might be a good fit for me, better in some ways than Berkeley (though of course Berkeley is more highly regarded). So wish me luck there. But I'm not going to put my life on hold this time.
I've been somewhat guarded in what I've been writing, lately, because of the perceived necessity of trying to stay on my best behavior (not my strong suit!). Maybe I'll finish one of those drafts, even. But I won't lie and tell you that I'm actually a fount of creativity just waiting to be unleased.
